Contacting us.
Getting in touch with us is easy - just email us ,please include as much information as possible with the question or query so as we know which order you are referring to.
Why haven't you replied to my email?
As a matter of company policy, every email that has a question in it will be answered. If you get no response, either we didn't get your email, or you did not receive our reply. Many people have junk mail filters today - please check to see if your email software has deleted the response from us.
AOL occasionally block email from entire ISP's. If you have an AOL account there is not much we can do about this. They do not normally block email for periods longer than 24 hours, so try emailing again the following day if your question goes unanswered. You may want to consider getting an email account with Hotmail or Yahoo if you have difficulty receiving email from non-AOL members.
Delivery Times of our products ?
We keep as many items in stock as possible and often your order will be delivered within 2-5 days .However there will be times when products will need to be ordered in. So we do ask all buyers to allow 14 days for delivery .
If you need your order urgently, please contact us before you order, so we can confirm our current stock status for you , as many of our items are in high demand so our stock sells very quickly and restocks could take about 10 working days to arrive to us
Watch Questions
Setting the time/date
Please be aware that due to a printing error in the instruction manuals of some Krug Baumen and Claude Valentini watches, to alter the date the crown must be rotatated anticlockwise and not clockwise as stated.
Water resistance explained
Water resistance is measured in metres or ATM's. One ATM is equivalent to 10 metres. If, for arguments sake, your watch is marked as water resistant to 100 metres (10 ATMS) then it is suitable for surface swimming, not diving/scuba diving. We do not recommend wearing a watch rated less than 100 metres (10 ATMS) when swimming. The 100 metres refers to the water depth the watch can withstand under laboratory conditions, not real life. This is true of ANY watch, not only those sold by us.
Below is a guide to the normal kind of usage that water resistance ratings will allow:
Water resistant to 3 ATM (approx. 30meters/98feet) = Splashproof only
Water resistant to 5 ATM (approx. 50meters/164feet) = Shallow water swimming
Water resistant to 10 ATM (approx. 100meters/330feet) = Swimming/Snorkeling
Water resistant to 20 ATM (approx. 200meters/660feet) = Skin Diving
If you intend to go Scuba diving then a specialst watch designed for this is strongly advised. Water resistant watches should be inspected every year by a qualified jeweller and any worn out seals replaced. The water seals should also be checked whenever the watch is opened - for instance when having a new battery fitted.
Water resistance should never be confused with "water proof".
Can I wear my watch in the bath/shower/sauna etc?
No - hot water can have a damaging effect on the seals used in your watch that provide its' water resistance.
How do I reset the Chronograph on my Krug-Baumen/Claude-Valentini watch?
Pull the crown out to it's farthest position - on some models it will need to be unscrewed in an anti-clockwise direction first. Press the top button to set the large second hand, the lower button to adjust the small chronograph dial. Once set, return the crown to it's normal position, screwing back in if necessary to retain water resistance.
How do I reset the Chronograph on my Emporio Armani watch?
All Armani watches should come with an instruction booklet with clear instructions on how to adjust and reset the Chronograph.
As per the enclosed instructions, the chronograph hands can be reset by unscrewing, then pulling the crown out to its farthest position, then pushing both buttons together which activates the chronograph reset mode. You can then use the top right button to manually move the hand onwards. Once set in the correct position, push and screw the crown back in to the watch face.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
Our Watch dimensions.
With our watch descriptions, the dimensions we supply are approximate and are the maximum within their perimeters and can be defined as follows:
The Head width is the max width of the head (not just the face/dial) and includes the crown/winder on the side in its normal position.
The Head Length is the max size from top of the head to bottom. Due to varying styles of watches sometimes this can be hard to define, so as a general rule we tend to measure this from where the strap is attached to the head.
The Head Depth is the max overall depth, from the back plate to the (if relevant) bulge of the curved glass.
The Max strap length is the overall max strap size including back of the head. Basically the max size wrist circumference it will fit. With Leather straps this measurement is taken from the buckle to the very last hole.
The watch weight is the overall weight of the watch as worn on your wrist.
Our Watch definitions.
In the product information bullet points we try to provide you with the most accurate information we can at the time when we first add the products to our sites. From time to time a manufacturer will make subtle changes to their watches although it is very rare that they do this. The most usual change is a slightly different shade of leather strap or perhaps a tiny change to the dial, such as slightly different coloured hands. We try to keep on top of these changes but if we are not informed by our supplier, then it can be hard to spot. As soon as we are aware of these changes we accordingly update our pictures and product information.
Our Watch pictures.
Due to the nature of buying a watch without actually seeing it in the person, we try and give you the best views we can of it and as such (usually) supply different pictures of each watch.
Please Note: The colours you see on your monitor may be slightly different to how they actually appear in person or on a different monitor. This is mainly due to the fact that all monitors display slightly differently in respect to contrast, brightness and colour from the factory and the fact that each monitor user will also have their own personal preferences which they then adjust their monitor to.
